TEQuote Release Notes

TEQuote 4.0

  • Major Enhancements for TEQuote v4.0.0
    1. The re-designed user interface incorporates a new tool bar that increases the usable screen area. Labels on the tools make it easier to identify each available option. Grid settings for the Part, Model, Quote and Finder forms can be saved for each User.
    2. Simplified Model creation process allows more flexibility in Model design. On templates, a single sequence can include multiple parts using Part Category, Part Sub-Category, Manufacturer. A new option 'Pick Many', added to the Choice Codes, allows selecting multiple Parts from within a Sequence. Unlimited numbers of Configurations for Required, Excluded and Optional Sequences are now available. A default, minimum and maximum quantity can be entered for each Sequence. An Edit box has been added that when checked will prompt the user for a valid quantity when a Part for a Sequence is added to a Quote.
    3. User defined Attributes have been added to the Part, Model and Quote forms to eliminate Parts from Models and Quotes that do not fit. For each Model and Part, you can specify different Attributes to help properly match the Models and Parts to the Customer requirements. When creating Quotes, you can have the Salesperson specify the Attributes they require; or allow vehicle and equipment choices to define attributes that filter for subsequent choices. Then Models and Parts with Attributes that don't match will be excluded from the quoting process.
    4. Template functionality has been extended to include Parts. All the features of Model Templates have been incorporated to the Parts form. By defining Templates for Parts, you can create an association between related Parts. For example, a "Ladder Rack" Part may include Template items for "Ladder Rack Accessories". When quoting, and you select a Ladder Rack, you will automatically be prompted to select Ladder Rack Accessories as well.
    5. A Vehicle Database has been added to TEQuote to help the user set Attributes for a Customer's vehicle. If the Product Type you are quoting includes the special "VEHICLE" attribute, you will be prompted to enter Make, Model, and Year/Cab Type/Chassis Type info. The Vehicle Attributes Cab Type, Cab To Axle, Cab to Tandem, Wheelbase, Cab Height and Single or Dual Rear Wheel will be automatically set for the selected Vehicle. TEQuote comes with most vehicle manufacturers pre-defined in this database.
    6. TEQuote now calculates Sales Tax on Quotes. Enter your Sales Tax codes and rates in the Sales Tax table. Labor components may be configured to be tax exempt. Assign a Sales Tax code to a new Quote or accept a default Sales Tax code for the Customer. Sales Tax codes may be overridden on a detail line basis.
