The FACS Bar Code software provides you with the tools necessary to accurately track inventory, truck chassis, and job shop labor. Using either hand-held scanners, or specialized data entry terminals, you can create and use bar codes for the following applications :

Using bar codes for each shop floor labor operation, you can accurately track job status and apply the correct labor to each job.

When truck equipment distributors maintain chassis pools, bar code equipment can help track the receipt of the chassis on your lot. You can continue to follow a chassis by scanning the VIN as the chassis is allocated to a job and completed through your shop.

Features:

Using either an Intermec™ label printer, or a laser printer, you can easily create bar coded labels as you receive parts. You can also hang bar coded labels on your parts shelves to insure parts are accurately tracked as they are issued to jobs.

Purchase order receipts can also be entered via a hand-held terminal in the warehouse, and then updated to the system.

By attaching wands or laser scanners to your parts counter terminals, bar codes for parts may be quickly scanned, assuring accuracy and efficiency. Using bar codes at the parts counter, you can easily achieve true "point-of-sale" order processing.

When it is time to take a physical inventory, part labels can be quickly scanned using a hand-held terminal. Your entire physical inventory taking process can be performed much quicker and with more accuracy!

On the shop floor, you can use a hand-held terminal to quickly issue parts to jobs. Using bar-coded employee badges and a bar code labor sheet, shop employees can clock in/out of each job/operation using specialized time clocks. This allows you to quickly apply labor to each job. You can also use the time clocks to track employee attendance for payroll purposes.

A truck chassis tracking program is also available to capture the VIN, location, and relevant dates as each vehicle enters the yard. This data is then uploaded to the computer and electronically updated into the Vehicle Pool file.
