Overview
Spokane Computer's FACS software includes a Labor module that captures
time spent on each job operation from time clock transactions on the
shop floor.
All job time can be entered from bar coded data to insure
accurate information collection. You can optionally implement a labor
incentive ("flat rate") system to insure optimal shop productivity.
Finally, the shop floor labor collection system integrates closely
with the FACS Job Order module for seamless labor tracking on your jobs.

Track Labor
Electronic time clocks can be used to capture hours
for open jobs, attendance, and payroll . The clock
is placed strategically on the shop floor, allowing
mechanics to clock in with their bar coded badge
to perform work on a particular phase of a job.
Actual hours worked are immediately updated for
the job. You can also compare actual hours worked
to standard hours to track labor efficiency. This
helps the company in establishing budgets for future
work to be performed. If desired, a flat rate labor
system could also be utilized.

Track Parts
You can also use hand held collection terminals
to scan parts to be issued to a job. This can work
in conjunction with the purchase order system in
the ordering and receiving of parts to that particular
job. Scanning parts ensures accuracy and speed of
processing and completing jobs.
|
Track Chassis
In addition to capturing the correct parts and
the accurate hours for a job, tracking the chassis
for that job is also critical. The hand held terminal
can capture the VIN, end-user destination, yard
location, and date received as the chassis enters
the yard. This information is then checked against
the vehicle pool inventory file and uploaded to
the open work order. Again, we have ensured accuracy
and faster completion in processing the job, thereby
turning it quickly into revenue.
